Oracle Application Express - one of the hidden jewels of Oracle is a Rapid web Application Development tool. APEX uses only a web browser to develop, deploy and administer professional applications that are fast and secure. APEX combines the qualities of a personal database, productivity, ease of use and flexibility with qualities of an enterprise database, security, integrity, scalability, availability, and built for the web.

APEX lives completely within Oracle database and is also available with Oracle Express Edition database which is a free product from Oracle. With Oracle XE & 11g APEX has no footprint at the operating system level and that makes it an extremely simple architecture to use.

Oracle Application Express training covers the following topics:

  • Introduction to Oracle APEX Architecture (Application Builder, SQL Workshop, Utilities)
  • Introduction to Workspace (Creating & Administration)
  • Creating & managing database objects (tables, views, triggers, pl/sql codes etc.)

Pre-requisites


  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Basic knowledge of HTML preferred

Training Methodology


This training will be through live online class with voice & presentation. Please refer to our section How-it-works to know more about the training methodology.

At the end of a chapter there are lab exercises that a participant need to complete. For these lab excercises, participants will be provided access to his/her own dedicated APEX workspace. You may need to install some client tools as case maybe. This dedicated APEX workspace will be available to you 24 hours a day for the entire duration of your course.

There will be a maximum of only 5 participants per batch.

Training Duration


The total training duration is 28 hours divided in 14 sessions with 1 hour of theory and 1 hour of guided practical per session.

At the end of the each theory session, you are expected to finish all the lab exercises before next session. (Please note that Instructor will be available online during your practical).  

If required, at the end of the course, each participant can have dedicated one-on-one session of 2 hours with the instructor for clarifying any doubt or asking any questions.
